DoPomoNow (“we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Company”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use dopomonow.com (the “Service”), how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding that information.

We believe in radical transparency. We collect very little. We never sell anything. Here is a complete, honest account of our data practices.

1. Information We Collect

We collect different types of information in different ways:

Information You Store Locally (Never Sent to Us)

Your task lists, timer settings (work/break interval preferences), theme preferences (dark/light mode), language preference, and session statistics (Pomodoro counts, streaks, focus hours) are stored entirely within your own browser using the Web Storage API (localStorage) and IndexedDB. This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to our servers. We cannot access, read, or recover it. If you clear your browser data, this information is permanently deleted.

Anonymous Usage Analytics

We use privacy-first, cookie-free analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns. The analytics data we collect includes: general page views, approximate country of origin (country-level only, not city or address), device type (desktop/mobile/tablet), browser type, and referring source. This data is anonymous, aggregated, and contains no personally identifiable information. We do not use cookies for analytics. We do not track you across other websites.

Contact Form Submissions

If you contact us via our contact form or by email, we collect your name and email address solely for the purpose of responding to your message. We do not add you to any mailing lists. We do not share this information. Contact data is retained only as long as necessary to complete the correspondence and is then deleted.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

To be explicit, DoPomoNow does not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or any account information (no accounts are required)
• IP addresses stored long-term (only used transiently for server routing)
• Precise location data (country level only for analytics)
• Payment or financial information of any kind
• Biometric data, health data, or sensitive personal categories
• Your task content, timer history, or focus statistics (these stay on your device)
• Information about your behavior on other websites
• Information from third-party social media platforms
• Data from or about children under 13 (our Service does not target minors)

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

DoPomoNow does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics scripts that follow you across the web.

We may set the following essential functional cookies to remember your preferences between sessions:

• Theme preference (dark/light mode) — expires at end of session or after 1 year
• Language preference — expires after 1 year

These cookies are strictly necessary for core functionality and do not track your behavior for advertising, profiling, or third-party purposes. They do not expire until you clear your browser cookies or they reach their natural expiry date.

Our privacy-first analytics platform does not use cookies and does not require a GDPR consent banner under most interpretations of applicable law. However, we err on the side of transparency by disclosing them here.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we collect exclusively for the following purposes:

• To improve the Service — Aggregate analytics help us understand which features are used and how to improve the user experience for everyone.
• To respond to your messages — Contact form data is used exclusively to reply to your inquiry.
• To maintain security and performance — Server-level logs are used to detect abuse, prevent attacks, and optimize performance. These logs are not linked to personal identities and are purged regularly.
• To remember your preferences — Functional cookies remember your chosen theme and language so you don’t have to re-select them every visit.

We do not use your data to: serve targeted advertising, build behavioral profiles, make automated decisions about you, or share with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, rent, license, or share your personal information with third parties for any commercial purpose.

The only circumstances in which we may disclose information are:

• Legal compliance — We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or valid legal process. We will notify you of such requests where legally permitted.
• Protection of rights — We may disclose information to enforce our Terms of Service, protect the security or integrity of the Service, or protect the rights, property, or safety of DoPomoNow, our users, or others.
• Business transfer — In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Service is safe for users of all ages — no personal data is required to use the Pomodoro timer. However, DoPomoNow does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union). 7. International Data Transfers

DoPomoNow operates globally. If you access the Service from outside the country where our servers are located, your anonymous analytics data may be transferred across international borders. Such transfers are conducted in compliance with applicable data protection law. Since most data is stored locally on your own device, international transfer concerns are minimal by design.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we do process:

• HTTPS encryption — All data in transit between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS.
• Security headers — We implement Content Security Policy (CSP), HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), and other security headers.
• Cloudflare protection — DDoS protection and WAF (Web Application Firewall) via Cloudflare.
• Minimal data principle — The least data we collect, the least there is to protect. Our primary data security strategy is not collecting personal data in the first place.

No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA, and Other Frameworks)

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to Access — Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Right to Rectification — Request correction of any inaccurate personal data.
• Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”) — Request deletion of personal data we hold. Since most data is stored on your device, you can delete it by clearing your browser storage at any time.
• Right to Data Portability — Request your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Right to Object — Object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
• Right to Withdraw Consent — Where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time.
• CCPA Rights — California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes to this Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
